The Salvation Army holds clothing drives and food pantries that help people come together hand in hand to work together. Other activities such as blood drives and the Toys for Tots program also contribute to the Salvation Army’s cause, which is to do the most good. These are some of the ideas which I included in my Design-A-Bin contest submission. The people in poverty pray to God for clothes, food, better health, shelter, and the other necessities of life. The cross is a symbol of God. The Salvation Army acts like God’s answer to people’s prayers and it gives hope and encouragement to the poor, the sick, and the needy. The crime and wearing down of homes is what people try to run away from, so they look for help in order to find hope and happiness. The Salvation Army acts like a light in the darkness of the lives of those in need.
